James Haskell New National Rugby Competition

James Haskell is recognised as one of England’s foremost tacklers, regularly topping the stats for both Wasps and England.
Schooled by the great Joe Worsley, a veritable legend amongst the all-time great tacklers in World Rugby, as the video shows, James himself has made some pretty impressive hits.

As world renowned Wales defence coach Shaun Edwards is often quoted as saying – "Great Defence wins Championships" and at the very heart of any defence is the tackle.
The opportunity to stop the opposing player dead in their tracks and then win turn-over ball as a result of the collision.

James Haskell’s new national competition “Tackle of the Week” is open to all amateur players, aged 12 plus from any schools, club and/or university.

All you need to do is to capture that magic moment when one of the players from the team you support, makes that bone-thudding hit and send it to BodyFire, via any of the Bodyfire social media channels

Make sure you use the hashtag #JHTOTW when submitting your entry

Throughout the week the public will vote on their favourite tackle, which will account for 50% of the overall vote. At the end of each week James and some of his Premiership pals will review all the entries, and the votes, and select the 'Tackle of the Week".

The winning tackler will get a pair of Wasps Aviva Premiership tickets to a Premiership match of their choice and maybe the opportunity to meet up with some of the Wasps players, post match.

If the winning clip is submitted by someone not directly connected to the tackler, they may also win some match day Wasps tickets.

However the good news doesn’t end there.

Every winning Tackle of the Week gets automatically entered into Tackle of The Month, the winning prize for which is certified, signed piece of official James Haskell merchandise.

The winner of each Tackle of the Month then gets entered into our prize Tackle of the Year competition the prize for which is a Master class training session for your school, club or university with James Haskell himself.
